Realtors® To Assist Southeast Michigan Flooding Victims

Michigan Realtors®, the Dearborn Area Board of Realtors®, the Detroit Association of Realtors®, the Grosse Pointe Board of Realtors®, and the REALTORS® Relief Foundation will be providing housing assistance for qualified applicants residing in the counties of Wayne and Washtenaw. This Realtor® relief initiative is in response to the substantial rainfall and resultant widespread flooding on June 25-26th of this year.

Over the weekend of June 25th, areas across Metro Detroit were hit by 5-7 inches of rain, resulting in flooded roadways, stranded motorists, damaged homes, and displaced residents. The above organizations have activated the REALTORS® Relief Foundation to provide financial relief to those impacted by the flooding. This relief may be utilized for a qualified applicant’s mortgage payment or monthly rent if they experienced property damage due to flooding.

In response to the hardship that many are now facing, the REALTORS® Relief Foundation has $100,000 available for individuals and families directly affected by the June 25-26th flooding. Applicants will need to verify that they reside within the State of Emergency Zone as declared by Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Financial assistance will be provided to cover one month’s rent or mortgage payment for qualified applicants in an amount of up to $1,000 per household until the available funds are fully allocated. To apply for relief funds, please contact your respective Realtor® Association:
